More about Amanda

  • 3 years' experience
  • Female
  • LMHC

I am licensed in Washington with over 10 years of professional experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, coping with grief and loss, motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I have worked for many years with older adults and their families, as well as people living with chronic illnesses and economic stressors.

I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion - human to human. I also know that there is therapeutic power in simply having a consistent space to process with a trained listener. However, I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. My experience is grounded in Narrative Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Existential Therapy, and an acknowledgement that there is no one-right approach to any person.

It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions. Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
