I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Substance Abuse from UW-Stout. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin with over 17 years of experience. I also have Wisconsin licensure for Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor and Intermediate Clinical Supervisor. I have worked with individuals ages five to adults with a variety of presenting issues, including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders and a multitude of situational life stressors.

I believe counseling offers an opportunity to allow individuals to process through unresolved issues and find ways to make life more meaningful and reach their true potential. My therapeutic approach is mainly Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Client/Centered Therapy. I utilize a variety of other therapeutic approaches as needed. I strive to meet you where you are at, then we decide the style that fits your needs, as we are going to be working together to help you meet your goals. I believe in people’s inner strengths and capacity to succeed and grow even during difficult times.

My purpose is to help you gain or regain the level of functioning that you desire. I value the courage it takes to make this first step and I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
