I am licensed in Missouri and Idaho, with several years of professional counseling experience. I have experience in helping clients with recovering from addictions, relationship, trauma and abuse, anxiety, & depression issues.
I have been through my own spiritual/therapeutic journey of change for the past 30 years that has enabled me to overcome my past addictions, feelings of depression, and sexual abuse. I tell you this because it is not only important that we have the clinical and professional experience (25 years experience in the behavioral health field), but that we have personal experience as well. I believe my authentic approach to counseling creates an atmosphere of honesty, trust, and acceptance that helps us to motivate ourselves towards making positive and tremendous changes in our lives.
Professional Experience
I have recently worked in a prison as a mental health professional for the past 7 years conducting individual and group therapy. I have worked over 25 years in the fields of mental health, addiction, and co-occurring disorders performing evaluations, therapeutic interventions, and individual and group therapy.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Rod is very easy to talk to
I've had a good experience with Rod, I appreciate that he listens and helps me learn so much about myself.
Rod really looks for ways to connect on a personal level and to finds ways to build a level playing field where I can know that I am being listened to and that my concerns are being understood and addressed. Most times I leave our sessions feeling better than when we started. I enjoy talking with Rod, he feels like a friend and trusted confidant.
I really like him
Rod has been a great therapist for me, I’m normally not one for therapy but I’ve found that with Rod I’ve been able to make more meaningful work on my personal growth
Got to the point and offered insight to my situation.
So far, I feel that Rod has been helpful in my current need. He listens attentively and uses relatable stories to the topics we are discussing and has included my faith very nicely. I feel better after talking through things with him.
Willing to get down to business, and with compassion

Rod has been very easy to talk to and I feel he really understands each issue I’ve brought up. I can see myself using his ideas for years to come.
Rodney is a great therapist, he listens and responds with insight that I have never been offered before. He never makes me feel like my sessions are rushed and checks in to make sure everything has been going well. Rodney has helped me view life in a different way and is helping me become a better version of myself.
Rod has been very instrumental in my therapy journey - albeit new. He's been insightful and showed me new perspectives and ways of seeing my experiences. I would recommend Rod to anyone. Thanks Rod!
Was very personable and I enjoyed just talking about things we’d both been up to that week and just reviewing the week and then focusing our discussion on issues that arose that week or topics we had previously decided on. Lots of insight with including spirituality which I was much appreciative of. I am so grateful I had Rod as my therapist.
Rod is THE MAN. Solid, dependable, and great to talk to.
He was brilliant Calm and patient Always guiding my thoughts to think more positively and effectively
