Hello! I am very excited to meet you and learn more about you and your goals. I am honored that you have chosen to learn more about me and my therapy style and background. I am licensed in Minnesota with 10 years of professional counseling experience. I am dually licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). I am licensed to treat both Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders. I have expertise in helping clients with substance use disorders, relationship issues and concerns and motivational strategies. I am passionate about helping client's build self esteem and confidence; and navigating life changes. I have experience in helping people discover and explore meaning in their life and you may discover answers to things you have struggled with in the past and currently. I have experience working with client's as they cope with marriage, divorce, changing jobs, losing a loved one, aging gracefully and also getting older and nearing the end of life. Change is the only constant and navigating these changes can cause a multitude of thoughts and feelings. I believe in treating everyone with respect, and strive to work "along side" my clients in helping to identify and reach the goals they have set for themselves. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to grow and learn with you and look forward to empowering you to take and move through your journey.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Rachel makes me feel very comfortable. She also talked with me to figure out the best way she can help me instead of just doing whatever she does with everyone else, it makes me feel like I’m not just another patient to her.
