Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

So comfortable to talk to

Dr. Allen is honestly the best person to talk to about anything going on in your life. He's super supportive and non-judgmental, and even though that's what you'd expect, I haven't found anyone I could relate to as well as him before. Right from the first session, I felt comfortable sharing stuff about my life, which was a huge relief. Sometimes, when I feel overwhelmed, having someone like him to talk to has been amazing because at first I would struggle finding who to run to with my stress. Over the past four months, I have felt more heard than I have ever been in most of my adult life. Dr. Allen doesn't just listen; he gives me real life advice to help me handle my challenges better. I don't feel like I'm talking to a robot in a chair or someone who is just paid to be there, I truly believe he is Godsent. He is consistently supportive and genuinely cares, which makes me feel understood, seen and valued. He is definitely someone to talk to! !

I am extremely lucky to have Allen as my therapist. It has been a wonderful experience and I look forward to continuing growth and learning from our sessions and my homework

Reviewed May 2024

Allen is not only a wonderful therapist but a human being. He seems me not as a patient but rather a person and refuses to diagnose and pioneer to a conclusion as he gently leads me to my own conclusions. He does not impose but really listens and provides insightful views as opposed to autonomous conclusions. I would highly recommend having an Allen in your life as he is an admirable master in his profession.
