Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Dr Harig created a space in which healing can happen and over the course of several months, I have experienced so much growth. At 48 years old, I wasn't sure what therapy could really do for me but Dr Harig has been amazing and I'm so grateful to have found him on BetterHelp.

Dr. Harig did more to advance my understanding of my mental health issues in two visits than I remember happening in months of previous counseling. I couldn’t recommend him more.

Reviewed September 2024

Dr. Harig is very responsive and connects easily. He approaches issues with a very open and welcoming demeanor. He works really well with those on a tight schedule. As someone in medicine with an ever changing schedule, I have never felt like he was unreachable. Would highly recommend. He helped me through a very tough time.

He's the best! He communicates clearly, is obviously an expert in his field based on our interactions, and he seems to genuinely care to provide quality help. I generally haven't had great experiences with therapists and Dr. Harig has helped me believe that quality therapists exists.

In the short time I’ve been talking to him I have layed out a mess for him for sure. Starting to explain everything is a lot especially my situations. So I have not beeen with him long enough to know how he feels about it , but so far he’s gentle and kind and makes sense to me. And I’m thankful for him.

Reviewed August 2024

He’s great! This is my first time with a therapist and he makes me feel comfortable and I feel he listens and gives me great tips

Reviewed August 2024

Dr. Harig is very caring and really listens to me. I don't have "standard" discussions with him. He tries very hard to help me talk through my issues and concerns to get to the root of my difficulties. I have tried many therapists but, I really feel like I have connected with Dr. Harig. He truly understands my military background, therefor, he truly understands me and my complexities. I highly recommend Dr. Harig as a therapist.
