Hello - I'm Elaine. I've been a therapist for 11 years. I'm an integrative practitioner, which means I will work alongside you to find an approach that makes sense to you. Each course of therapy I deliver is unique, just as everyone I am privileged enough to work with is unique.

Over the course of my career, I have developed a special interest in working with clients who have experienced trauma. You may not consider yourself to have experienced trauma, but if you have ever endured a situation in which you felt helpless or powerless, you have. Bereavement, loss, relationship breakdown, attachment difficulties, abuse, injury, illness, panic, anxiety, pervasive low mood...all of these things can be traumatic in the human experience.

I am licensed to practice therapy in the UK and registered with the BACP. I offer a safe space in which you can expect to be treated with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes great courage. I would be delighted to support you in that process.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions. Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
