More about Rachel

  • 3 years' experience
  • Female
  • BACP

I am a registered counsellor with BACP and I am based in Northern Ireland. I have over 3 years professional work experience working with adults over 18. My experience in the counselling field comes from working with adults presenting with various issues such as depression, generalised anxiety, social anxiety, health- related anxiety, low self- esteem and self harm.

I aim to provide conditions that allow you to feel safe and secure to explore issues that you are experiencing through confidentiality, non- judgement, compassion, respect and sensitivity.

Within my practice I work as an Integrative Counsellor. This means that I use different types of counselling approaches such as person- centred therapy, psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy. The concerns and the goals you wish to achieve within the therapeutic process will help to direct the sessions to be tailored to your individual needs.

I will normally check messages in the evenings during the week Monday to Friday, so please feel free to contact me within this time period to ask any further questions and I will get back to you within a 24 hour period. If messages are sent over the weekend I will respond as soon as possible on Monday. I look forward to working together.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions. Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
