Hello my name is Luke Stevenson, I qualified in Movement Psychotherapy [MP] in 2015. Through my continues professional development I qualified in Transactional Analysis [TA] in 2023.

MP is a model of work that is somatically informed and as such it engages with the client’s body, mind and identity. The aim of MP is to understand that the client is an organic living entity and as such it is more than just the mind which needs to be supported within the psychotherapeutic process to gain a sense of wellness, confidence and to reach their full potential.

TA is a model of work that understands the way we engage with people and the world around us. It offers ways to explore how we communicate and react to stimuli. While all so offering ways to be curious on how or when we learnt to engage in ways that may now be causing us difficulties.

I work in a TA Co-creative model, this means that I work with my clients to support them to understand their areas of difficulties and explore ways to support them make changes. This means that each treatment plan is unique to the client that I am working with.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
