MY EXPERIENCE

I am a family oriented therapist/counsellor, I have over 10 years' experience working with clients in the NHS, a women’s centre, a hospice, a bereavement agency, a perinatal mental health charity, a cancer support centre and a men’s counselling service. I have been trained in a wide range of therapeutic approaches including CBT, person-centred and phenomenological, and I will draw on these to provide the most effective therapy for you.

In addition to the issues listed under 'What I can help with', I also work with life transitions; making choices and negotiating change; and with non-traditional relationships.

My approach is existential, which does not judge emotional suffering but looks instead at how you uniquely experience the world. I will help you explore your life experience in terms of your relationships; your identity; and your values, choices and sense of purpose.

Whether you come at a time of distress with a particular difficulty, or have reached a stage when you want to deepen your understanding of yourself, I offer a safe and supportive space where you can begin to make sense of whatever is troubling you.

If you are ready, I am ready to work with you and empower you through the journey of change and recovery.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
