Hello My name is Jon Judge, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Approved Supervisor in Maryland. I have over eight years of experience working in both mental health and addiction. At this time my work is primarily focus on helping individuals and couples who are facing challenges with depression, anxiety, anger management, relationships issues as well as other concerns and stressors that come with the everyday living.

I believe in a person-centered approach to helping others. No one knows you as well as you. My role is to collaborate, encourage and to offer a perspective as well as possible “tools’ to help you to design a life which better meets the kind you desire. Often when working with someone I look to apply a problem-solving process which looks to identify barriers and work to develop responses to overcome or at least better manage these barriers. I am certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR trained and have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Based Therapies, as well as Experiential and Mindfulness practices in the work I do with a person.

I look forward to hearing from you and the opportunity to support you in achieving your goals.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
