I believe the most important relationship we have in this life is the one with ourselves. When we lack connection to our authentic self, it can cause deep emotional pain and challenges in our relationships. I strive to provide a safe and compassionate space for my clients to be themselves without judgement. From here, we can allow the parts of self that have been abandoned or withheld to be seen and heard, ultimately leading to a place of wholeness, and greater authenticity. I work with individuals who want to know themselves on a deeper level and ultimately gain insight and awareness to transform their pain into meaning.

I am passionate about working with new moms as they navigate the intense identity shift that often accompanies motherhood. I also have extensive experience working with young adults as they transition into adulthood. My approach is integrative and holistic, based on your specific needs. I am a certified perinatal mental health professional.

My Approach:

I believe that a cornerstone in therapy is the relationship between client and therapist, and I focus on building and maintaining a supportive relationship throughout the course of treatment. I find that when we feel safe and heard in the presence of another, we can connect to our authentic self. I use a blend of theories including but not limited to: Person-Centered, Existential-Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, depending on the needs of the client. I often incorporate mindfulness techniques into therapy to help increase the client's awareness of the present moment and to serve as a tool for the client to be able to explore themselves more deeply. I believe looking at the past is essential in understanding how we arrived at the present moment. It is through this understanding that we can then forgive, be it forgiving ourselves or another, and begin to heal for a better future.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions. Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
