I would recommend her! I’m not just saying that. I haven’t been to a therapist in 10 years. I was worried I’d go through a few to find a fit. But they found a perfect fit for me. She lets me vent and then gives me homework to better help myself. She knows I like reading and she offers books suggestions. She has made me feel validated and I’m thankful I took this leap!

My name is Valarie Chapmon and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida and Board Certified Diplomat issued by the American Board of Examiners (ABE) with over 14 years of experience working as a psychotherapist. I have worked with diverse populations over the years and have experience in a multitude of areas. I specialize in trauma, bereavement, anxiety, and depression. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and I have been trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. I often assign homework since you may be in therapy only an hour every week but you are on your own 168 hours a week! We will work together to decrease your symptoms or work through your distress.

My nonjudgmental, accepting, and personable approach will assist in the therapeutic process. Whether it’s genuine compassion or a bit of lighthearted humor that you may need incorporated into therapy I am sensitive to your immediate needs and am here to help!

You have taken the first step, I commend you. I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions. Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
