I've found Jennie very comforting.Obviously I was very nervous being the first call, but she put me straight at ease. Jennie let me feel I could really open up my feelings. After the call, I felt a great sense of," I'm going to get through this!"

More about Jennie

  • 6 years' experience
  • Female
  • NCPS

I am credentialed in the UK with over 6 years of professional experience. I am a member of the BACP and a accredited member of the NCPS. I have experience working for a pupil referral unit offering counselling to both parents and their children who are unable to attend mainstream school, this has given me a large variety of people to work with and a varied and complex set of emotional issues to work through with my clients such as depression, anxiety, anger, low self esteem, bereavement, refusal, abuse and trauma. Prior to this I have experience in Drawing and Talking therapy.

Reading this is the first stage to helping yourself to start blooming. I understand how hard and  overwhelming it can feel to make these first steps, especially if this is your first experience of counselling. It takes courage to ask for help when life can feel so challenging and difficult. I know because I have been there myself. Having someone to talk to, you can trust and who is really listening and understanding how you feel can make a difference, enabling change to help you to understand yourself better.   If you are struggling with things in your life, past, present or future, or you’re not even sure what the problem is, counselling might be the help and support you need

My personal journey with counselling started with my personal experience of grief. This is where my passion began but then led to wanting to help people of all ages with different emotional difficulties, anxiety, depression, low self esteem, trauma, sadness, stress .

I am an integrative counsellor, which means I have been trained in more than one approach, Person Centred, CBT and Psychodynamic, adapting my way of working to suit individual needs. I work in a non-directive manner because I recognise that you know yourself better than anyone else. I have a broad experience of working with young people and adults and tailor each session to the specific needs of the individual.

I provide a safe, supported, and non-judgemental space to talk, for you to think about where you are and where you want to be and explore the everyday challenges that you may be facing.
