My name is Dr. Claribel Perez, better known as Dr. Claire. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Certified Clinical Sex Therapist in Florida.
My counseling style has been described as caring, supportive, and empathic. My therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in combination with Psychoeducation. I use a collaborative approach, which means working together alongside the client to identify personal strengths and goals that pertain to their specific needs. Also, I implement Psychoeducation, a therapeutic approach that combines providing education with psychological interventions, to help understand and manage mental health conditions, if deemed necessary.
I help clients navigate through any difficult or negative thoughts and feelings, extending a safe space to share without fearing any judgment.
In the first session, I provide a listening ear as the client provides information about their current situation. I collaborate with clients on developing goals that tailor to their specific needs while offering emotional support and guidance along the way.
With 19 years working in the mental health field, my utmost goal is to provide empowerment, emotional support, guidance and healing.
