Welcome! My name is Lindsey Stevens, MA, LPC-S. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my Master’s in Professional Counseling from Texas State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas, as well as a Board Certified LPC Supervisor. I have 10 years experience in the mental health field, 7 of those as a licensed clinician. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and relationship issues. Most of my experience is with substance abuse with extensive experience in medication assisted treatment (treating opiate dependence). With warmth, acceptance, and non-judgement, I provide a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and concerns. My goal is to empower them, while also helping them identify and utilize effective coping skills. My approach combines cognitive behavioral and person-centered. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities based on the need of the individual at the present time. My ultimate objective is to provide a safe environment for my clients to speak openly about life's stressors and help them navigate their journey.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
