With 15 years of experience I am a highly skilled, knowledgeable and fully trained practitioner with an established background in Integrative Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD; which is the gold standard treatment for OCD. I deal with people who have a range of issues/common life problems to those who suffer from debilitating disorders such as OCD and Anxiety/Depression. I also help individuals who are going through issues in their relationships whether that be marital/partnerships or family issues. Please see the list below on the many areas I support and how I work.

Often life can present us with challenging issues that can be difficult to deal with. I offer a warm, accepting, empathic and non-judgmental environment for those who wish to explore their concerns and issues. I have helped many individuals by facilitating the therapeutic process in a way that has enabled them to find the solutions to their problems.

I offer a trusting environment for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions without judgement. By forming a therapeutic relationship with a Counsellor/Psychotherapist, one can begin their journey whether it is to find the answers they are looking for, to heal, to gain clarity and/or to enhance their confidence. By gaining an insight into your internal world, I endeavour to facilitate therapeutic movement in the sessions.

It can be quite daunting coming to terms with any issues, emotions/feelings, and even more overwhelming trying to find the right therapist. Contacting someone who is professional, who offers confidentiality and a trusting environment can be the first step to alleviating the issues and concerns that distress you. I am aware that each experience is unique to each individual and therefore my empathic nature will enable me to enter your frame of reference without judgement.

Information for those who suffer with OCD (any other anxieties such as health anxiety, phobias and eating disorders):

Aside from offering therapy for a range of issues, I am also incredibly passionate about treating OCD and have a comprehensive understanding of OCD as a whole; including all the subtypes. I work collaboratively with clients to develop a unique treatment plan, tailored to their individual needs. I include Psycho Education together with ERP which will be discussed fully in the initial assessment. Please rest assured that therapy will be at your own pace and around what you feel comfortable with.

If you feel you may have OCD or have been diagnosed with OCD, it can be truly difficult to discuss and process some of themes that arise in life. ERP is the gold standard treatment in OCD and if you are new to this or a little bit apprehensive, perhaps you are unsure or want to know a little bit more; please contact me for further support.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
