Hello!

I am a licensed clinical professional counselor, nationally certified counselor, and certified rehabilitation counselor licensed in both Illinois and South Carolina. I have experience in both private practice and within the hospital setting as a social worker and group therapist. I have experience as both an individual counselor providing 1:1 services, family counseling as well as group therapy.

My primary focus is working with women (14+) .

I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, ADHD, psychosis, trauma, grief, anger management, as well as the development of interpersonal relationships, job placement assistance, interview skills and most importantly - the development of self-love and the process of forgiveness.

As a therapist, my goal is to help my clients become the best version of themselves. Working together, we will improve self-esteem, identify triggers of symptoms, identify coping skills, learn how to effectively utilize coping skills to manage symptoms, explore psychoeducational materials on the areas of concern, facilitate and improve family relationships, discuss the effects of psychotropic medications, and develop a strong sense of who you are as a person. My job is to teach you to love yourself.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
